New PDQ's and Chartering

Hey Kevin! Congratulations on getting this idea
up and running

I'm sure you,(we all), will get a lot of benefit by
utilizing your Board

You should also know by now I hope, that there is also
a very comprehensive POA(PDQ Owner's Association)

Newsletter that comes out 4 times a year and is lovingly
labored over by a couple of long time 36 owners, Lee Henderson,
and more recently, Len Scharf

You can probably get to them through the PDQ factory people,
I don't have their email addresses handy right now

Anyway, thanks for the link to SAIL ABACO, we hope
everyone will enjoy our 85 page website as much as we do yours

If we can answer any questions for any Owner,
just give us a call at charters@oii.net

This is our new email address as we recently changed
service providers

Have a great sailing summer, and come and see us again in Abaco,
we're glad you enjoyed the visit

Best regards, Mike Houghton

Great to see you here ... I look forward to cooresponding with other owners on
this board

I have been enjoying Phenix very much. As a matter of fact, we spent the 4th of
July weekend at Great Lakes Naval Base (30 miles north of Chicago) watching
fireworks and BBQing ribs! Sailed up and back on beam reaches of 15-25 knots ..

great! The trip from Toronto to Chicago is documented in detail at
http://www.sailchicago.com. I think Phenix likes Chicago, but I'm finding out
what owning a boat is all about! Everyone looks at Phenix like she's an oddity

There is only 1 other catamaran and a couple of F-tris in Monroe Harbor

Everywhere I go, I get greeting of "nice boat"

I've got some questions/experiences about performance that I am going to post
soon. Also, Colin at the POA said he incorporated the web address here
(http://www.sailchicago.com/pdq) into Commodores Cornerwhich will appear in the
next Newsletter. Maybe we can get some meaningful threads going here so new
people that come have something interesting to read

Take care, and stay cool!
