Summer storage in Florida

Posted by Ted Reilly on August 25, 2002 at 11:22:00:

Following our return to the Bahamas this coming winter, Retta & I plan to store
Highlander(PDQ36) in Florida for the summer. We have heard that Lake Ocheechobee
might have good secure facilities. Any sugestions?

Hi Ted,
Hope to see you in the Bahamas this Winter. We leave Florida late Jan for
Georgetown by mid Feb. Allezcat (PDQ36#10) is tied up in a canal off Charlotte
Harbor ( Fl West coast) just North of Burnt Store Marina

Your 36 will not fit in Indiantown or the Glades. The only dry storage I am
aware of is Titusville on the East Coast, (Prairie Dream) is stored there now,
or Goodland Marina on the South end of Marco Island (expensive). You are welcome
to tie to our seawall but the boat would be in the water

Will you be at the PDQ owners meeting in Annapolis?
Chet

i store my pdq 32 at glades boat storage near la belle which is about 15 miles
west of lake okeechobee.it is on the canal

you could also try indian town marina on the east side of the lake, they are
much closer to the east coast and you do not have to go under the famous
railroad bridge .expect to pay about $120 a month.
