We have a Adler Barbour Cold Machine made in 2000. Over the years it seems the unit runs more often then when it was new. When new, the cycle was about 30% on and 70% off - now it's more like 90% on. The temps are acceptable at about 45 in the box and high 20's in the freezer.

Since nothing changed with the box, and trhe coolant was serviced 4 weeks ago (just a little low), is it possible for the unit to just wear out and become inefficient?

The cooling is fine, it's just eating amps...

We're in Nassau and on wi-fi so, if you could, respond to me at WDA6087@sailmail.com.

I plan to fix this when we return in May 2007. I'm open to any options including a new or different unit.

Happy holidays to all of our PDQ friends...
