Main Sail

Post by Dan White »

I am thinking of getting a new main for my 36.
Anyone have any recommendations on whom to use?

Have talked with Chuck of Doyle's loft in Annapolis. Any experience with him?

new sails

I just bought a new main and genoa from Calvert; I'm pointing at least 5 degrees higher, and the shape is fantastic. I ordered 9 oz fabric and they are pretty stiff and harder to raise. $4700 for both.

I replaced sails on Allezcat with new ones from Triton Sails located near Toronto. They are the original suppliers. Price was very reasonable and they fit and work great. See Ron Fernandez. I also installed the Strong trak and batten "cars" so the main raises and drops easily now.
