Does anyone know how to change the depth alarm from 5' to another depth on an
autohelm tridata depth sounder?? I have been trying to do this for a while, but
can't seem to figure it out!! I have no paperwork on it either---

Hi Roger,
It's not easy to do it by guesswork ;-)
Here's the procedure:[/i]

Press Depth and Speed together and hold for 2 seconds, which gives you the
calibration screen

Press Depth momentarily, which allows you to do depth calibration and takes you
to the Units screen. Use Reset to toggle between feet and metres

Press Depth again, which takes you to the Shallow Alarm screen. Use Trip and
Reset to adjust the setting

Press Depth again, which takes you to the Deep Alarm screen. Use Trip and Reset
to adjust the setting

Press Depth again, which takes you to the Offset screen. Use Offset to allow for
the depth of the transducer to give you either the actual depth, or the depth
beneath your keel. A negative number is keel, a positive one is waterline. Use
Trip and Reset to adjust the setting

Press Depth and Speed together and hold for 2 seconds, which locks everything in
and returns you to normal

I've just realized that you didn't say which Tridata you had. The above is for
the ST50, which I REALLY hope is the right one :-)
Regards,
Martin
