Hi Darian: I bought a new 36 last Nov. and we installed the AC/Heat unit here at
the yard. The comp. unit is mounted under the stbd settee and the water pick up
is mounted under the floor panel in the stbd fwd cabin. Very easy to get to and
service. There are ducts in the main cabin and one each in the fwd staterooms

Rory at the factory was very helpful with advise on the unit and the
installation. The unit even came with matching cherry wood vents and intake
cover. The unit works great! Best/Jack "MOJO"

Don't know if this will help or not. I guess where
you locate to A/C and pump depends a lot of the
model boat you have. At present I don't have a PDQ
but in next month hope to be getting a 36'. I have
in the last 6 months looked at a LOT of PDQ's up
and down the east coast. Most of the 36's I looked
at with a/c had the main unit located under the
stbd setee, with ducts runnint to the 2 fwd cabins

I'm not 100% sure about the water pickup

Suggest you either e-mail PDQ for a idea of how to
best install unit. OR a 2nd and maybe closer choice
would to be call the Annapolis PDQ dealer
(Chesapeake Catamaran Center)who I know has installed
quite a few a/c units and pick their brains on the
subject

First hand I highly reccommend the "CruiseAir" systems
I have one on my liveaboard monohull (Endeavour)
and it has been great in heat and a/c. Girlfriend
has one on her Irwin and also loves it. That is the
brand we plan on installing on our PDQ

Good Luck... Don..

Hi, that might depend on the compressor location. You would want your water
supply as close to that area as possible. My unit is under the port anchor
locker,& the water supply is in the port forward cabin hanging locker, both poor
locations. This is how I inherited the boat
