Propane tanks

Has anyone had occasion to buy new propane tanks with the new Overfill
Protection Device? If so, where can one get them? The only ones I see in the
catalogs from West Marine and Boat/US are too wide to fit in the 32's lockers.

We live in California, so our souce probably won't help much, but we went to our
local propane fill station and bought a new tank with an adaptor for our
fittings for $40. Have you checked your local propane service station. I think
they cater mainly to RVs, etc.

We bought powder coated 11lb. steel tanks from West Marine for our 36. We had
the same problem with our locker, and we really wanted aluminum tanks. The only
other alternative was a new $800.00 propane locker (+installation).

I don't know where you can buy them but the factory should be able to get you a
source. You can also replace the valve. They cost $26.50 and must be replaced by
a propane service.
