US Marine ultimate tank gauge

Our new 34 came with no gauges for holding tank and water tank. Access to the tank side is difficult. I came across this ultrasonic level sensor that mounts in a 1" hole in the tank top, in the Defender catalog. Has anyone used one of these? Does it work and does it get clogged-up? Am I better off with one of the foil-on -the Tank-side senders? Thanks for any input.

We replaced our Snake River monitoring system a few years back with a See Level externally mounted sending units and monitor for our holding tank and fresh water tank. All internal sending units are problematic. Easy installation and It works accurately. Always thinking outside the box. See link below. Ray

I have installed the 703 Smart 3 Tank sensor from http://www.tankedge.com along with the PVC Rod Sensors one 18 inches long for the water tank, and one 32 inches long for the holding tank.

I have the See Level products on my RV and they work well but they must be installed outside the tank. Did not have that option on my 34, thus the PVC rod sensor option to protect internal sensors was my best solution.
