gear for a new boat

Could anyone suggest where I could find a checklist for gear that will be needed
when picking up our new Capella? The boat will be used for personal coastal
cruising, no chartering. Stuff like safety flares, life jackets, etc. We have
lots of stuff from our last boat, but I am sure I will forget something

I would like to assemble it all and ship it to the factory prior to taking
delivery. Come to think of it. possibly on new orders, I could have the store
ship it there.

BoatUS has outfitted both my '32 and my Privelege 37 and they came in lower than
the others (West, etc.) plus there was no sales tax if you could pick up
everything in Delaware. Of course, truckin' it all into Canada might be a
problem! Donovan.

I believe I have found some answers to my own question

Practical Sailor has a book and several publications on "Outfitting". I have
them and they look like just what I was looking for

Also, BoatUS has an outfitting service in its catalogue. You call the 800 number
and they send you a checklist, plus offer some discounts

Happy New Year.
