Spare Parts

Post by salwa »

While there are marine stores in many of the marinas we’ll be traveling in – it is best to travel with a full spare parts kit that includes oil, fuel and water filters and fluids (oil, transmission). It is would also be useful to keep some spare light bulbs and fuses for your boat.

The Rhumb Line boat will have spare components that are unique to the boat and critical for operation (i.e. fresh water pump). However, it is the responsibility of each captain to know their boats and keep an appropriate inventory of spares onboard.

Please feel free to contribute suggested spare parts.

FENDERS – technically not a spare part, but we highly recommend carrying extra inflatable fenders for locking and docking.
