He posted previously here that he replaced the mast. Is this typical as a correction to poor design or perhaps a repair?

Also, can a PDQ 32 be shipped over land / trucked?
Transporting by land would be a problem. The boat is much wider then the highway lanes and at best would require a permit through the entire route.

Replacing the mast- the early boats had a shorter mast and some have replaced with the new taller mast. The Doghouse has been upgraded to the taller mast; was done by a PO during hurricane damage repairs. It does effect sail balance though so I wouldn't bother otherwise.

Ahh. I thought Altair and LRC were models, not only designations. Thanks for clarifying.
At this stage we are focused on outboards.
