New owners of PDQ 36 Hull #14

Post by makala »

Hello everyone,

Back in September we purchased a PDQ 36, 36014, from Lee Henderson (formerly Brigadoon II). We had a great purchase experience and Lee and his friend helped us get the boat from Marco Island to Melbourne Beach, FL. We sailed up from Marco to Fort Myers on the tail end of Hurricane Hermine :D and subsequently traveled to Okeechobee waterway to Stuart and then North to Melbourne Beach. What a great trip, the boat was a magic carpet! Thanks Lee and Ed!

We are a family of four plus our dog [Doug, Nicole, Brooklyn (5), Callie (3), Molly (dog)]. We are new to sailing but not to boating. We are looking forward to long trips to the Bahamas from our base here in Florida and possibly beyond that on a sabbatical someday.

We are interested in meeting other PDQ'ers in the area to exchange ideas with and possibly buddy boat or meet up in the Bahamas.

This forum has been a great resource, so thanks to all contributors and the forum owners/moderators!!

Looking forward to meeting more PDQ'ers.

Cheers,

Doug and Nicole

Welcome to the family! Gina and I were in Melbourne for a long time, now call Punta Gorda our home. Best of luck in the Melbourne area. Look up Tom on DogHouse currently tied up at Waterline Marina at Sarno and US1.

Welcome Doug and Nicole. We recently purchased our PDQ and also have a couple kids; Theodore (1) and Oliver (still baking). Hopefully we will see each other on the water sometime. We plan on heading to Abaco in May, maybe we can buddy up for the crossing.
