Boat Maintenance Log
Boat Maintenance Log
Do you have a boat maintenance log? I’m looking for an iOS app or at least a good template that would work in Excel.

Re: Boat Maintenance Log
The usual topics for a boat log - Date, Engine Hours, Cost, Description. Obviously, I can recreate this in a notebook. I was wondering if anyone has seen a more sophisticated version that includes reminders for periodic engine or transmission maintenance. I think I'll just do it electronically so it is accessible everywhere.

Re: Boat Maintenance Log
I have an Excel sheet that I use . Send me an email to sailgreen@embarqmail.com and I will reply with the attachment. This forum will not allow me to attach an .xlsx file.

Re: Boat Maintenance Log
I prefer the old fashioned paper method to an excel spreadsheet because most of my entries occur on the boat when my computer is not available. Also, I usually want to check my log when I'm on the boat, so I use a cash book bought from Staples. It has just the right number of columns. The narrow one on the left contains the date. The wide column contains the description of work done, fuel purchased, etc. There are three narrow columns on the right where I put port engine hours, starboard engine hours and generator hours. It's much more simple than recording all the info then entering the stuff into the computer.
