Can someone please provide me with the distance between the masthead staright down to the deck (standard mast)? It would be greatly appreciated. Ed

I just measured mine last weekend for Dave Calvert, who's making my new sails. I measured 39' 2".

Keep in mind that this is not from the very top of the mast. It's attaching the tape measure to the halyard and raising until it stops. Then I measured down to the top of the small platform that the mast sits on. If you measure to the bottom of the small platform then the result is 39' 8".

Either way, it's probably a couple more inches to the very top of the mast.

Hope this helps.

A few months back, I pulled the mast to do some rigging work and some electrical updates. While the mast was down, I measured the full distance from the base to the mast head and it was almost exactly 40 feet. Seems to jive with chicagocat's measurements. Please note that I have an older hull #15 with the older white aluminum mast not the newer mast that is on the newer boats. Also note that there was a tall rig version.
