Let me apologize up front, I know I should know this but I am going to ask anyway...

Does anyone use the jib halyard to affect the draft of the headsail? I am not sure if this would come into play on a sail with a furler/foil. On smaller boats with hanked on headsails, we use the halyard to tighten the luff but I am not sure if that makes sense on a sail with a foil and a rigid luff. Never though about it on this boat but now that I have removed the headsail to restitch the sacrificial cover, I am not sure how much tension to put on the halyard and the draft of the sail seems a bit different than before and the luff seems looser. Any thoughts?
