Seat post bushing

Post by Kokomo »

The post that supports our seat has a bushing that fits inside the seat post. It has a lip covering the exposed metal edge of the post.

Although the insert that goes into to seat and goes over the post is available at marine stores, the bushing inside the post is not.

Has anyone found a source for that part?

Hi Kokomo,

If you have a Todd pedestal/chair the bushing is Todd #9994-72 @ $12.22

West Marine calls it a Nylon Spider Bushing #018-540-003-508 @ $11.99

I have gone thru three of these.

Are you sure you don't mean the one that goes inside the chair mount and outside the post? I have gone through several myself. My post also has a bushing that creates a plastic lip over the exposed metal edge of the post. That way the plastic ridge from the seat rides on the plastic rim.
