Round up?
Round up?
A couple of weekends ago while out sailing in open water with full sails on a broad reach in 20 kt winds gusting to 25-28 kts (true) and 3-5 foot seas when I experienced something I did not think was possible in a multihull - during one gust she began to round up, not in a big way mind you but the effect was definitely there! We put 4-5 turns on the genoa after that and she settled right down. Has anyone else had this experience?

Re: Round up?
I think turbulence around the windward rudder occurs when the windward hull is high enough to skip over a wave trough. That means half of our steering force is interrupted.
