I just bought a 2001 T9.9 tiller model that I have to convert to remote. I have the elec. harness (6G8-82590-00-00), but I'm not sure where to connect to. If I unplug some existing connections to plug in the harness wires, what happens to the old wires?
Can't seem to figure it out.
Thanks, Marc

Re: Need wiring help
Just tuck them away, maybe coat them in electronics grease to prevent corrosion just in case you want to convert back later.

Marc,
If you connect the harness as in the diagram, you are good to go. If the engine has a neutral switch, I would bypass it and attach directly to the starter relay. (Brown wire) Also the Blue wire should go to the Y/R wires junction after removing the Y/R wire that goes to the oil pressure indicator lamp on the engine. I just tuck the left over wires out of the way with a small wire tie.
