We have a Blakes LaVac head on "Kokomo". The pump started to feel a little
different over time - it still worked, it just felt different. The problem was
traced to the outlet valve that wasn't fully closing. I contacted Whale, who
distributes the Henderson Mk. V pump used in the LaVac, about purchasing a
replacement. I received 2 valves at no charge within a week. This is true
customer service!
