Following James' instructions, pulled out the window (removed the gasket piece at the top) and replaced the handle in 20 minutes. Toughest part was getting the old broken handle off. Thanks so much to the forum and commentors for the tip.

hi all,

this is related to this thread.

this morning the vertical aluminum channel which holds the locking handle became detached from the window glass. i noticed that on ours (#23) it is glued to the window glass. the glue is black. we got the channel back on the glass and it's sliding but i need to re-glue it.

does anyone know what the glue is? anyone suggest a substitute?

we're in bahamas for 2 more months so options are limited.

My side salon sliding window pulls have broken (again). Replacements are no longer $5 each - now $15 each with a $100 minimum order from Pompano/Bomar in NH.

Does anyone have spares to sell or I’ll have to order 8 & warehouse them for you’all.
