Single line reefing configuration

Post by chicagocat »

All,

At the end of the season last fall, I managed to pull the reefing lines through the boom on my 36. So I have to figure out how to rig them again. Does anyone recall how to do this, or better yet, does anyone have a diagram or drawing?

Thanks,
Brendan

Brendan,

Go to page 56 of the PDQ CLASSIC owners manual posted at http://www.pdq36.com for the diagram. Home Depot sells a set of screw together fiberglass rods, three to a pack, used to pull wiring through walls ("fishtapes"). You will need two sets (packs) of these to pull the line through your boom (they come with a couple of kinds of ends).

Terry,
Thanks a lot. I've looked at that manual a few times and somehow never noticed the reefing diagram. It always pays to RTFM, as they say.

Just finished rerunning a "lost" reef myself following Terry's advice. I'm happy to report order has been restored!
Thanks Terry!
