Our ACR EPIRB had an outdated battery. ACR no longer provides battery replacement service. The best we could find was an outfit in Florida who took over the business from them. I had my ACR EPIRB serviced through a firm in the Canaveral area several years ago. The name "Viking" comes to mind. Service was good, but not fast. The price was about what you quoted. Would love to give more details but we are "on the road" and won't have access to ThomKat's maintenance records for several weeks yet.
