I'm looking for a slip in the Chesapeake north of Annapolis and finding slim pickings.
Very few marinas can accomodate my PDQ 36 due to the 18.5 beam.
Anyone have advise on a marina that has slips and that they like?

Chesapeake Yachting Center, off the Middle River has some slips that are wide enough for a 36. Very nice, gated, pool. Also may have some T-heads. Located in a protected hurricane hole.

We loved our time at Harborview in the Inner Harbor.

We are on a mooring ball southeast of Annapolis. I heard mooring balls on the Magothy river are possible in a few spots. I have used transient slips in Rock hall a few times as well. See you out there...

We understand Harborview is going through some not so good changes. Tidewater in Baltimore on the Patapsco can handle your beam, and also hauls out cats.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
I found a slip at Maryland Marina on Middle River.
Not bargain price but OK for this season and it looks like a nice, professional marina.
I will need to check Tidewater for haul out

Re: Need Slip - Chesapeake
Here are a couple of places we have used:
1) Worton Crk - up north towards Chestertown,
2) Herrington Harbour North in Deal - best facilities
3) The best bargain going for a bottom and paint job is at Krantz Marina - Boatworks at Harry Hogan Pt. on the Yeocomico River in VA (rustic would be a stretch for the operation). It's up the Potomac like you were going to Kinsail except you turn left at the fork. What it lacks in luster the folks that run the lift make up for and a little further up the river is one of the best stops off the Potomac - Olversons Marina. What a treat it was finding this spot. http://www.olversonsmarina.com/
Good luck,
