Bomar side hatches

My side hatches are crazed so I went on a search to have them replaced---Yikes! To replace the lense is $290 each. I had already purchased some 1/4" plexi to replace the lenses and had taken one out only to find that the original is metric and the latches won't seat on 1/4" and they do not make 5/15 which could work. I haven't found a domestic source of metric gauge plexi. How have others solved this problem without laying out a boat unit in expense?
