Inverter Ventilation

This past summer I noticed that the compartment with the Heat Interface lives got super hot when I had been running the AC a lot. Has anyone added ventilation?
* The best answer might be a louver and fan that would send the heat out of the boat somehow, but I'm not anxious to get into all that when a simpler solution should work.
* I could get ventilation by simply elevating the seat cushion 1/4" with some grill work. Should be enough to protect the health of the inverter.
* A grill could be included in the seat back or near the main panel. Should have been a part of the design, since the seat back area is sealed on the top and can hold a lot of heat. Perhaps in the forward starboard corner, on the shelf above the head? It would be invisible, but further away.
