possible fuel restriction problem

while cruising the star motor suddenly loses power and stalls out....I putt home on one motor....at home the engine starts again but wont get past 1800rpm while in neutral. I change both filters and still the same problem as it wont get past 1800rpm. I check and find the feed tube is clear and has no screen. The engine appears to idle fine but everything points to some restriction. Open to forum suggestions.
