The motors are excellent but there are some problems
Problems:[/i]
The mounting bracket is 11" long so it hangs down past the nancell transom. It
clears the water by about 3 inches. It doesn't seem to be a problem but the
hydrolic piston is extremely exposed
The moter is to big to fit into the motor well from the top. You have to remove
the nacell, lift the motor into the motor well, reset the nancell and lower the
motor onto the transom
Due to the close quarters it is difficult to change the oil filter without
losing some of the housing screws or gettig into the water. In San Francisco the
water is 60 degrees, so it hurt to get in

6.5 knots with one engine; 8.5 knots with 2 engines at 3800 rpm
On a recent trip, we covered 70 miles and consumed 17 gallons of fuel. 4.1
gallons per mile running both motors. With both motors the noise is slightly
louder, but with one engine the noise is less
I do not know about your boat, but Oceania ran 6.5 knots with both Yamahas and
5.5 with one. So the Hondas definitely increased the performance under power.
