Hi all,
This thread addresses a few questions I have also. Just bought a 1996 36 here on Lake Michigan and I'll have it on a mooring in Monroe Harbor here in Chicago (just one harbor over from Kevin Smith !) for the time being. It has the Cruisair 16000 btu ac/heat unit aboard. Is the idea of running AC while on the mooring using 2 of the Honda 2000W gens a good idea? Better to add a permanent genset and become the 2nd heaviest 36 on earth? Or just wait until next year when I get assigned a slip in one of the fancier harbors and can use shore power? Any ideas?
